a gentle rose, standing in a desktop vase.
Untouched, unmoving.

The colours drained from her petals,
until she only remained in memory.
She was changed,
shifting perspectives.

When she finally emerged again,
wild vines from the soil.
She is a spirit of freedom,
taking flight for the first time.
